Quick question and quick answer...

But... does it really works ?
Yes ! it worked for me and for many other people. No, i'm not going to post their comment because this will make this tutorial like some sort "video selling" like "as seen in TV" or some other form of TV advert.
Speaking in numbers... mmmhhh 98% of people that contacted me reported that it worked at first try. Remember to always double check for correct connections, sometimes it's the common fault...
Hey i got a reddish image !
Unfortunately... your TV is un-luky, your Tv cannot handle that signal at all...
Look here, the PIN15 is shared with component video (R+G+B) and your TV is beliving that you have connected something there... like the RED strenght signal infact it isn't.
You may try to *cut* inside the SCART connector the wire to PIN15, or simply remove or step it backward, this *shuld* fix the problem.
I didn't tryied this, but you may try, it won't hurt your TV. Remember: i still i'm not responsible for any mistakes you do, this is a valid suggestion, you are free to try ;)
Component, composite, sVideo... I'm so confused !
All right:
From left to right: Mono/Left audio connector, Right audio connector, sVideo connector and Composite connector.
Connectors for Composite (yellow), left/mono audio (white), right audio (red)
Video signal is divided in three colors, used on expensive device.
Audio, where is my audio ?
Look, scart, composite and s-video carry only video signal, for the audio you always need a couple of other cables, look here.
Box Immagine - DidascaliaI see rainbows in the image !
This is a "normal" problem of video separation techniques, the hack and the quality of the cable are just the last comers in this chain of loss of details; there's nothing you can do..
Some manufacturers are working on next gen separation techniques... but due to the shift in digital interfaces and due to the low reta of change of consumer devices this is nothing we can cope.
This mostly depends on your Tv and what there is inside.
Film looks acceptable, windows desktop is horrible in TV...
Waaaiiitttt !
Your computer monitor is way different from your TV cathod tube. TV is made for resolution up to 512x480 lines, these are not the exact values, but TV is not able neither to display correctly 640x480 ! and you are outputting in the best case 1024x768... there is a natural loss of details. Don't forget about interlacing too... When seeing Films things change because a film resolution is alwais lower (720x360 lines circa) AND because DVD player (example) have quite complex chips to do quality downsampling of images.
I have a different svideo cable, it has a lot of pins...
No problems, look here.

Main connections are the same, and svideo should fit inside correctly. I don't have so i cannot try. Did you got some sort of converter with your video card ?
I need a quick s-video to composite connector !
Do like this picture:
I see someone is suggesting a condenser..
Yes, this is the schema:
(1) Y-ground-----------------+
__________________________+---------- RCA/composite ground
(2) C-ground----------------+
(3) Y-------------------------+
_________________________+--------- RCA/composite video
(4) C------------||----------+
_____________470pF
Basically you are putting a condenser in place of the short. I didn't tryied the condenser yet. I'm going with the short and is working, tha's all (ehi, if ou try and send me some screenshot...).
Question, info, suggetion, report ? did it worked, burns? fires? B/W again? totally black? ... maybe... COLORS !!!! mail me ! say something, to ask... or just because it is working :)
let me know ! ;)
