Chcking connections
Checkng cables not needed if you followed Solution #2
Last Update: 30/01/2007
Simple check to follow for the solder method
This is an important step: check that cable connections are done correctly. While you solder something may go wrong, some wires may touch each other or you may have soldered the wrong ones ! never mid, this happens, it's normal. Follow these simple steps to make sure you have done it correctly.

You should use a normal multimeter, set it on the diode" simbol: if both pointer of it are shortened it's "beeps" and display "001 circa"
You should see numbers
Take usual note of what is Pin 15 an Pin 20
Now find a "metal clip or pointer" and put it in place
Now conduct the test (see below) Do the following checks: PIN15 (scart)- croma (s-video), PIN20 - croma | PIN15 - luma, PIN20 - luma | PIN15 - PIN20 | croma - luma and they should ALL give you the picture below, "BEEP" meaning they are shorted togheter

There is a path between both multimeter pointer
If for some reason some test before gives this, something is not correct! better to check more indeep.
Question, info, suggetion, report ? did it worked, burns? fires? B/W again? totally black? ... maybe... COLORS !!!! mail me ! say something, to ask... or just because it is working :)
let me know ! ;)
